The Ocala Chapter holds meetings on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., September through May. The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution was founded October 11, 1890, in Washington, D.C.

The objectives of the Society are historic preservation, promotion of education, and patriotic endeavor.

The NSDAR motto is "God, Home, and Country."
